Hi!
My obsession with photography started when I was around eight. Technology has changed a bit since then, but what makes an amazing image remains. What you feel when looking at an image is key, regardless of whether you’re wanting timeless portraits, event pics, or needing effective marketing media. I create images that clients love and cherish. When you work with me you’re getting a skilled and knowledgeable photographer who’s committed to your needs.
I studied photography while earning a B.S. from William Woods University. Later, I pursued an M.A. in Art History, which led me to work for the Memphis Museum System where I had freedom to learn how to use photography for documentary and marketing purposes. My experience ranges from processing images for books and scientific publications at Colorado State University’s Anatomy and Neurobiology Department to creating marketing materials for the equine and pet industry, and recently has even included national branding photography for Interstate Batteries. However, I most enjoy capturing images that make people feel joyful, and which will be cherished for a lifetime.
Currently I serve the midwest, southern and eastern regions of the U.S. The meaningful images I create each tell a story. When I’m not behind the lens, I enjoy cooking, coffee, competing with my dogs, teaching and exploring the world. I love the nature, adventure and sunsets.
*I’ve purposefully omitted stories of my wonderful horses, dogs and cats because we don’t have that much time to spend on an “about” page. If we meet and you’re interested in sharing stories about pets count me in!
Best,
Laura
