Hi! I’m Laura.

My obsession with photography started when I was around eight years old. Technology has changed a wee bit over the years, but what makes an amazing image remains the same. The emotions you feel when looking at an image is key. Whether you’re seeking timeless portraits, wanting event digitals, or needing effective marketing media; I create images that clients love. When you hire me you are getting a passionate photographer who’s skilled and knowledgeable.

I have a B.S. from majoring in Equestrian Science and Photography. An Art History Master’s led me to work for the Memphis Museum System where photography was one of my primary responsibilities. Regardless of industry and job title, photography has always served me well. From selling images to national publications, to processing technical images for Colorado State University’s Anatomy and Neurobiology Department, and it’s certainly useful in creating attention grabbing marketing materials for the equine industry.

I recently moved back to Victoria, Texas after making a horse farm in southern Illinois my home for decades. I travel throughout the midwest, southern regions and eastern portion of the United States to photograph regional and national events. I’m in the zone whenever I’m holding a camera, (a dog leash, or bridle reins). The beautiful and meaningful images I capture each have a story to tell and make life more enjoyable. When I’m not behind a camera, I can be found enjoying coffee, cooking, showing my dog in conformation and performance events, (my Long Coat Chihuahua is crazy about scent work). I love being outdoors and seek out adventures and sunsets.

*Author’s note - I’ve purposefully omitted details about my life filled with wonderful horses, dogs and cats because neither of us have that much time to spend on an “about” page. If you’re interested in sharing stories about pets and scrolling through seemingly endless phone pics count me in!

Looking forward to working with you!
